Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!

Wow! Have we been hit with tons of snow this week! Now I'm not complaining mind you, but it is noteworthy as it's the most snow we have had this early in winter for 100 years! Now that's a record!

Saturday morning Funsize, Ann and I went to the stable to see the guys. They don't mind the snow at all especially since they get nice hay put out for them to munch on all day. No green grass under all that snow!

Nick, Kipper and Skipper are in a different pasture so that all the big boys won't pick on them. Of course they fight amongst themselves like naughty little boys until we get their hay out to them! Notice the laid back ears!

Nick is embarrassed because he still has on the old hunter orange halter. Hey Funsize, how about a new halter????

Kipper looks like he is having a static hair day!

Came home and got the snowmobile out as the kids were coming over. We decided to do some sledding next door at Grampa's on his back lawn. It's a great place to slide, all the neighborhood kids come over to use it.

D was flying down the hill and tipped over but came right back for more! Dad was running a shuttle service back up the hill.

I decided to take a ride down with T. I'm the one that looks like Mrs. Conehead from Saturday Night Live!

Poor T, I think she is going to give up on riding with me on ANYTHING!

The kids got a new toboggan for Christmas and wanted to try it out.

We were all ready to come in and get warmed up after that. I had a nice yummy lasagna ready to go in the oven that was calling our names too....... It was a wonderful New Years Day! :o)

Looks like EVERYONE was having fun. I am so glad that you got the snow this year. T may need to become a nurse to care for her Grandma. Happy New Year.

Looks like a blast! We haven't had much snow yet...just enough for the kids to snowmobile a little over vacation. Love the photos, thanks for sharing them with us!

Looks like fun. Loved the pictures of the horses in the snow! But it makes me cold just looking at them. It has gotton cold here, but we never get any snow. I think the last time it snowed my daughter was almost 2 years old! I am not complaining though! Thanks for sharing!

It looks like y'all had a lot of fun! I can't believe how much snow you got! It is really cold here too (like 21 degrees this morning, yikes!), but no snow to speak of. I think some people had flurries. I am totally okay with that though! Happy New Year!

OMW look at the snow....Well it's 8 degrees here today with the wind chill. If it's gonna be that cold, at least we should have some snow - don't ya think? No such luck! Just bone chilling cold.

The sledding and snowmobile look like so much fun!

Stay warm up there - we are trying here!

Wow...it looks like so much fun in the snow! I can still remember my days in New York sledding down our neighborhood hill. Here in Southern California, all we get to sing is "Let it rain, Let it rain, Let it rain."

This post brought back so many memories for me...quite a few years ago, that's how we had spent New Year's Day, going sledding! My two younger brothers and their girlfriends at the time had come to spend New Year's here and we had decided to go sledding and build a little fire to cook wieners:-) I just about broke my neck going downhill! lol I so loved seeing all your pictures, everyone looked like they were having so much fun:-) Love the horse pictures as well, how gorgeous they are. I'll say it again...I wish I lived nearby:-) xoxox
