Blogger and I are friends again.

Okay, I think I am back in business thanks to my BFF Pea over at Pea's Corner! I have just purchased an additional quota of pictures to use on my site. Pea sent me a website to go to for help and it walked me easily through it. Now it might take up to 24 hours to become active but I can live with that. :o) Thanks Miss Pea!! xoxo

It's been another glorious sunny, breezy day here in the north woods. I wish I'd had some sheets to hang out on the line as it was the perfect day to dry them. I just changed them so didn't think I'd tear everything apart again. Mar*tha Ste*wart I am not. Well, if I had all the help she has I would've rung the bell and asked someone else to do it but I'm not and I don't. Don't get me wrong, I think she is an amazing person and has some wonderful ideas. She has marketed herself so well over the years and even made an amazing comeback after her debacle with the Feds. I even tried to peek over her stone wall around her house once when I was in Conn. visiting a friend. I have no pride. I am also lucky no one called the cops.....

Congratulations to my niece Lauren who got her drivers license this week! She is the one that comes up and rides Nick for me in the summertime. He's the one that needs a job. Badly. He is too young to be just standing around looking gorgeous in the pasture. I don't want to lease him out as I want him here at home with us in the summer but I do wish I had someone to ride him more regularly. He's gotten rather spoiled and lazy.

All the guys got their bridle paths clipped this week and their whiskers snipped off. Also I like to trim off the winter hair around their feet as it keeps them from getting what we call 'scratches' from the mud. Now they aren't really scratches like a scratch but something they get out of the mud that makes scabbie things on their legs that have to be treated. Now I know you non-horse people are just loving reading about digging scabs off horses legs but it all goes with it. :o)

Everyone got wormed too. They don't mind it except poor little Skipper who is my rescue pony. He just freaks out when you try to put the wormer tube in his mouth to squirt the paste in. I don't think he had even been wormed before we got him and that probably contributed to his weight being so low along with not being fed enough. We finally got the wormer into him and once he figures out it is going to happen he is fine, it's just the five or so minutes before that where he rears up and tries to get away and is really frightened. He's not being bad, he's just scared. I try to reassure him and once he has it over and done with I give him some good rubs on the neck and a treat.

I had a meeting today at the Humane Society. I don't know where my head was as I didn't take any pictures and there were some of the cutest puppies there to look at!! One Mom had NINE Labradoodle puppies! They are so adorable. Remember the President was considering a Labbydoodle but ended up getting a water dog? Sniff.......I would have taken the labbydoodle! There was also the cutest pug there that I wanted to bring home! He was shivering from nerves as he was due to go in and be neutered in a few minutes.

Are you all concerned about the swine flu? I am getting ready to haul my grand kids out of school and home school them to keep them out of the germs but I guess Son and DIL wouldn't let me do that. I am naturally a little germaphobic anyway and this has not helped. I guess you can't find a face mask in the stores now. Glad I have some on hand.... :o) Also rubber gloves, I have a whole box of those. And hand sanitizer.

Well Blogger is going to stick to it's guns and keep me waiting the few hours until it lets me download some pictures. Sigh..... I thought I might luck out and at least get a graphic early! I guess tomorrow will have to be soon enough.

Do any of you watch Dancing With The Stars? I can't dance at all but I love watching other people dance. I really liked the couple that is really a couple in real life, the dancer and the singer but they got booted the other night. I thought the rodeo bull rider would have gone before they did. Guess that shows all that I know...... Also American Idol is getting down to the wire and the competition is hot! I don't have a clue who will win this one but if I were to guess it would be Adam, probably now I have jinxed him! Sorry Adam.

Oh, can you share the info about the website with us? I know I will run out of quota space soon myself!
I have been watching dancing with the starts this season. I love to watch them dance!

I am so glad that you got that mess figured out. I was worried that it might be awhile before we were able to enjoy more photos from you. Boo hoo.

It sounds as though you have been busy getting everyone ready for coming home. I wish we lived closer as I have some eager riders here who would LOVE the experience.

Are we going to see pictures of the new kitchen soon? It must be almost time to cook that first meal. Better make it a good one.

I need to send you a cute cartoon about the swine flu. I'll do it when I finish up here. I am not worried and I think that they are blowing the whole thing out of proportion. Typical media blitz in my opinion.

We watched DWTS when my mom was with us and I haven't since she left. I did enjoy it.

Tomorrow is surgery day for my mom. Yes, she will be in a skilled nursing facility for about 8 weeks. On day 15 post op she will get to sit up for 5 min. It will be a looong haul for her. Poor thing.

Have a wonderful weekend. I hope to be able to check in on my blogs as I get busier with hospitals, etc.

Glad you got your blogger photo issues sorted out. I may need that site from you (or Pea) at some point.
The swine flu has everybody tied in knots. I just tried to calm C down after school as she had to send one of her students home with "all the symptoms" Who knows if it is the real deal or not. She wiped everything down with Clorox wipes but said the little girl looked really sick.
Not good...
Can't wait to see pictures of your kitchen!
love you,
xoxo

What a bummer about the picture quotas! Wonder if I'm getting close to that? I remember Patti/Nonna switching to Picasa (not sure that's spelled right) after she got her notice.

I love labbydoodles too! They are just the cutest. Well, I love all dogs, and cats, and etc. etc. LOL.

Glad Barney is now coming closer to the house. That's good progress.

I love Dancing with the Stars! When they dance the boogie woogie, I get up and dance along! Hehe. Good exercise for me.

As for the swine flu, I got myself a big bottle of Germ X, and I use it,too! Yes, indeed!

Have a great weekend, Louise!

Huggies,

Renie

I didn't know that we could go over a quota. I need to check that out I guess. Have you ever heard of how you can make a book from your blog. I would love to know how just to keep a record of mine for my children.

Well I was on the edge of my seat when Adam was in the bottom two.... They are all so good this year though. My fingers hurt from texting my voteS!!!!

Wow. Where to begin? LOL. Congrats, Lauren!!

I love DWTS. Didn't know they got voted out but Julianne was annoying me this season. She's adorable, but too ooey-gooey with her boyfriend for me.

Glad you got more space for pix. I didn't even know you could run out of space on Blogger! Shows what I know.

I'm glad you and Blogger have made up. I'll be anxiously awaiting more pictures.

I'm still waiting to hear about riding. I have asked my friend Laurie to see if I can come along with her son. I'm excited about it. If I got good enough I could ride your horse. That is if I lived closer.

Hope you and yours have a wonderful weekend.

I actually enjoy reading and learning about horse care. You and Mrs. Mom are teaching me a lot! You take care of your horses like I do my cats...they deserve it, too, don't they?

Yes, we all could use that site. I have alot of pictures plus all my work files on my computer from 5 or 6 years back!

I imagine your weather is Spring-like there now, too. We are in the 80s now...and the weather gal said 80s all next week, too! Not much humidity yet, but my A/C has been running every day now.

I am scared about that Swine flu. What a mess it has become! Seems every day, there are so many more new cases being reported in the news. I don't understand why Americans don't vacartion in their own country. If they have vacation dollars to spend, you'd think they would spend it in the USA and keep the bucks in our own country during this bad economic time! I am just glad I work from home and can avoid the public as much as possible until this flu dies down, if it ever does....

Enjoy your weekend!

Hey there! I haven't been by in a while! Shame on me! The kitchen is looking great - looks like you've had a good time elsewhere - and my, you have been experiencing the grief lately. The Good Lord's grace is sufficient, even when we feel like we are drowning. It's at that point that we don't realize how much He is at work!

Have a great weekend - we are off to barrel races and baseball tournaments!

Blessings to you, Friend!

So glad you got it figured out! Not the same without all your pics and such! :)

I know they have cancelled our ISD from going to any out of town games, UIL and what not until May 11. I know alot of people are upset, but I say I would rather be safe than sorry! I too am a germ freak! I have germ x in every room of the house, truck, purse, etc! Hubby jokes we need to buy stock in the company!

You are more than welcome my dear friend:-) I just remember when I ran out of my quota and how lost I was! lol

Tsk tsk tsk, trying to peek over Martha's wall...I can just see the headlines now! LOL You're right, though, these people are famous but then they have someone else doing their housework for them!!!

I had never realized all the work involved in owning horses until I started reading your blog. Your love for them shines through, though, and in my next life I wanna be a horse and have you as my owner:-)

The Swine flu certainly is giving us all a scare, especially when you start hearing of cases so close to home! I haven't seen anyone wearing any face masks around here but I bet you everyone is washing their hands a lot more often!!

I don't watch Dancing with the Stars or American Idol...actually I hardly ever have the tv on anymore.

Hopefully you're getting nicer weather than we are here today! It was raining a while ago, then snowing, then raining and now sunny but cold at 36c!! Talk about Mother Nature not being able to make up her mind. lol

Love you dear friend. xoxox

I would have tried to peek over Martha's wall too! What fun!
Sounds like you have been really busy with the horses. I know you enjoy them so much.
How's the kitchen coming? Do you still have that invisible refrigerator? LOL
