Christmas Fun

It's over. After months and months of preparation it's all over. It makes me sad in a way as I love the Christmas holidays so much. To say we had a lovely Christmas would be a huge understatement. It was fabulous! We all got together, the turkey wasn't dry, everyone was happy with their gifts, hey, it even snowed on Christmas Eve! What more could you want? How blessed we are!

Here are a few more decorating pictures.

We got T, D and Cousin K all scooters for Christmas this year. I always like to have a few unwrapped things setting out so when they walk in they will see them. The scooters were a hit! You have to plug them in and charge them so I did that all day so that they would be ready to roll!

Even the some of the older ones got in on the scooter fun in the basement!

These three are the best of buddies plus they have two more cousins in the next town.
Funsize handed out the gifts this year so that I could take pictures.
Here she is with her Dad my baby brother.

I told T that this is her and Kipper.

D loved this game!

These are my three nieces that live right here in town. You all know Funsize and the other two are cousins A and A.

Christmas morning I got up and put the turkey in the oven and then we headed over to watch T and D open their gifts at their house.

You know how you pay a lot for the gift and they like the box better............

Well T just walked over through the woods so we will be busy doing who knows what! Cont......

Looks like it was a wonderful Christmas.

Ours was quiet and relaxing. We ate too much, but other than than, it was perfect.

The Christmas Eve service went off with only a couple of hitches, but that made it more real.

Merry Christmas to one of my dearest friends in the whole wide world:-) I so loved looking at all the pictures and seeing all those happy faces. Looks like you had a wonderful time and it warms the heart when you see children looking so happy!!

You're right, it all seems to go by so fast, though, considering the months of preparations involved. It's up to us to make it last:-)

Louise, I absolutely LOVE the little musical faerie princess you sent me...omigosh, you should have seen my face when I unwrapped her:-) THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! You really shouldn't have sent me anything but thank you!! hehe I have her sitting on my computer desk so that I can look at her every day and think of you:-) Love you lots!! xoxoxox

I can see the joy in all the photos. It looks like it was a fabulous Christmas for all of you.

I can't believe that the day has passed already, but I hope that we can all keep the Christmas spirit close to our hearts for a long time.

Did you run out and do any shopping after Christmas? THAT would be a nightmare for me.

Now it's on to 2009!!!! It doesn't seem possible.

Have a wonderful weekend. xox

It certainly looks like you had a fabulous Christmas. We had a great one as well. Everyone liked their gifts, which is a plus. I always try to buy things they like or need.

Hubby bought me two fairies and books, which is fine by me. The boys bought me an angel pin that says, "Grandmother is a blessing." I will try to get a photo of it. It's pewter and I love it.

Take care, my friend and enjoy the rest of the holidays.

Blessings,
Mary

Looks like you had a fun Christmas! The scooters looked great! Know the kids all loved them! What a magical time of year for children!

We had a wonderful, fun day, too. I am just so tired that I slept all day Sunday! Now I have to make it through New Year's Eve and Day yet! Back to work today, though!

Wishing you a wonderful 2009!

Merry Christmas!! You have done a fabulous job of decorating the house. You really ought to have your home featured in a very large spred!

The kids look like they had so much fun and they got some really good stuff! My girls still like the boxes just as much as what was inside too. Funny how that works. LOL!

I am glad to see your mom looking so good! Congrats to her on all her OT work. She's such a beautiful lady and I applaud all of her hard work!

I hope you all continue to have a wonderful Holiday season! Happy New Year!

*HUGS*!

Thanks for stopping by. That little corner of the woods where you grew up is familiar territory.

We both come from Washington County, she from Plantation 21 & myself from the outer fringes of Baileyville on 2 farms (mostly timber lands) that ran from south of 'The Airline' to a stream to the north & from west of US 1 to almost Pocomoonshine Lake. It was in the 40s & 50s for me & it's pretty much all gone now, sold to developers & big timber companies. Only thing left in the family is the summer house at the lake. Wish it were all mine now, most was sold for a pittance in the 70s.

Wife's house was at the eastern end of 'Saw Mill Road', right where the dirt meets the eastern pavement. That was 50s & 60s & it's pretty much gone now as well. Great memories of harder, but, in many ways better, times.

My MIL collects Snowbabies and I tried to find her that same one here locally. I waited too long to order one, but I'll try to get it for another occasion.
