Wednesday Antics

It's half way through the week already. I just don't know where the time goes. I guess it's because I am busy all the time and that's lots better then being bored and the time dragging. It sure wasn't dragging today as I had T and D and they kept me hopping.

I want you to know that I now have a tattoo. Yes, your heard me right. It's a ladybug on my shoulder that my grand kids put on me today. It's a fake one but I just thought I'd shock you all first before I 'fessed up. Not that I mind tattoos, I think some of them are very pretty but on me notsomuch. I saw a cute cartoon the other day where a woman said she got a rose tattoo when she was younger and now it's long stemmed! :o)

I'm back riding Buddy again, although it is very lightly and carefully. I don't want to take another header and I want to make sure he is all right. My farrier is coming tomorrow to do the ponies and I am going to have him check Buddy over too. I really think it was just a fluke thing the way he fell and won't happen again but I am going the extra mile to be careful. I know he is old but he has been moving so well despite some arthritis in his knees that only bothers when he is going down a hill.

The kids love to play in their playhouse that we had built last summer. It is kid size with a work bench on one side for D and a sink and sideboards on the other side for T. I put some plants around it this year that will be pretty when they fill out.

D says he can get up there too, just give him a minute!

Now is that a laid back cat or what? A 6 year old with a water hose and a cat that's just laying there totally unconcerned! I think Noodles is part dog, he always wants to be around what's going on. Notice he is sitting on the porch railing on the right hand side behind T in the last picture. Now Munchkin is as far away from the grands as she can get, totally different cat. Smart.

One of the nice things about blogging is that you meet some wonderful people and make friendships across the miles. Tonight as I was getting dinner ready I thought I would make some of those Red Lob*ster garlic biscuits that we like but couldn't find my recipe that my fellow blogger and friend Pea from
Pea's Corner gave me a few months ago. I got on my computer and e-mailed her asking her for it again and within five minutes I had a reply with the recipe!! How nice is that? It's like having a friend right down the street and we are probably 1000 miles apart! Soooooo, I whipped up the biscuits and we had them for dinner all thanks to Miss Pea!!! Thank you Pea, you're the best!!! :o) If there is anyone left in the universe that hasn't stopped by Pea's Corner you really should drop in and say hello!!

Mom's planter on her deck is looking good. With all the rain we have had lately I'm amazed anything has taken off but these sure have!

My old fashioned rose bushes are loaded with buds and a few blossoms. In another 4 or 5 days they are going to be just covered with blooms and I will take another picture then.

Guess that's it for tonight. Got a busy day tomorrow. The Kindergarten Field Day is in the morning and then at noon I am meeting with the Executive Director of the local Humane Society for my interview about being on the board of directors. The farrier is coming later in the afternoon so I need to get the horses bathed, clipped and looking spiffy. Not that he cares but I do. Of course the minute he leaves they will go right out and find some mud to roll in which isn't hard with all the rain we've had!

Love the kids play house, man that is nice! I want one!
The cat is risking it all being that close to a child with a water hose and bucket! LOL!
The farrier was here today and I have to take 2 horses to the vet tomorrow!

Well you sure had me going with that tattoo! lol It's been over a year since I got my rose tattoo and I don't think I'll ever regret it:-) In fact, I'm thinking of getting another tattoo...a faerie this time! I know, call me nuts! lol

I do hope that Buddy will be ok...after what he went through last year, I can imagine how you worry about him!

Oh wow, what an awesome playhouse for the grandkids! I wish I would have had one of those while growing up:-) I'm laughing at the picture of Noodles all spread out...talk about relaxed! lol

You are more than welcome for the recipe...I'm just glad I happened to be at the computer when your email came in:-) You've got me hungry for those biscuits now! lol

Your mom's flowers in the planter are just gorgeous, as are your roses! Mine are just starting to bloom as well...the 5 rose bushes I planted in my faerie garden are just loaded with buds:-)

Have fun at the Kindergarten Field Day and best of luck at the meeting!! Love you! xoxoxox

Bet the kids are having fun. I am headed down to my mom's tomorrow where they can roam and play on their farm. We are so excited. Lots of nature walks and horseback riding camp, etc. Fun! Fun! It is great for kids just to let them play sometimes.

Take care.

I love the playhouse! The kids will have hours of fun in there. We have also had a lot of rain. I am waiting for summer. And it will soon be the longest day!
Pea is a real star. I love visiting here.

That play house is beautiful. You guys are a wonderful set of Grandparents for those beautiful kids!

The flowers on your Moms' porch are really looking fantastic too.

Love stopping in here! You always have such great photos and goings on.

I must admit that I took a gasp at the thought of a tattoo. Glad it is a grandkid one!

The playhouse looks like it is really great for the kids. And, yes, that cat is way too relaxed with a sic year old and a hose.

The flowers look so colorful. We have so enjoyed the pots of flowers on our trip. Tonight we are in Fargo and onto Iowa tomorrow.

Indeed, Internet friends are great! I'm reminded of that every time I look at the wall hanging over my couch. Which I'll have pictures of, if we ever get it hanging straight. LOL.

That play house is something I would have given my eye teeth for when I was a kid! AWesome.

Those biscuits sound so yummy - I'd better now make them though, since Groovy, Tammy, and I are taking up the challenge to lose 20 pounds each - we're recruiting!

Ok, I loved the part about being busy and not finding time.......I got that, that's me.

The garden, the play house..........YOU ARE THE WOMAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Can you come to my house and do that please????????????

Pretty please?

I will take you to some very beautiful beaches!!!!!!!

As to the tattoo, don't tell my daughters, but as long as it's not a "tramp stamp" you're good! (lol)

Someday, after my daughters graduate with doctorates and decide to get married.....and I have time and energy.....

Oh well, we can all dream.

It looks awesome. I hope the little ones had THE BEST TIME.

I love that playhouse! I think I need one of those in my backyard.

Good luck with your Humane Society interview. I think you'd make a terrific board member. Your love of animals is obvious, which is just one of the reasons I love your blog!

That dollhouse is just too adorable!!! We built one for our kids years ago, but it didn't look like yours! LOL Know your little ones are enjoying it! Ours loved theirs.

Love the pic of Noodles with your granddaughter and the water hose! Brave cat, as most cats don't even like water.

Good luck on getting on the Board of Directors for the Humane Society! You would make a wonderful director with your love and concern for animals!

Those biscuits sound sooooo good! I'm a garlic lover!!! My email is on my profile page if you would care to send me the recipe.

I'm trying to get to my strawberry cheesecake recipe one of these days, so watch my cooking blog for it soon. I need to get the other recipe from my daughter yet; hopefully, this weekend I'll get it from her.

Have a great weekend!

You're a pretty hip grammy to have a tattoo! Temporary is about all I would have too!
That playhouse is adorable and every child's dream, I'd say!
Noodles sounds like a typical Maine Coon. They truly are more like a dog in many ways in wanting to be right where we are. I always smile at the places we find Vincent too.
Glad Buddy is doing well. I know how much you love him.
Your flowers are gorgeous. Looks like summer has come to Maine!!
love you
xoxo

I am really glad that Buddy is okay. That playhouse is beautiful! Noodles cracks me up laying there like that! Our cats get nervous when they just hear water running too hard. Your hanging baskets look really pretty. I can't believe how well your mom's planter is doing! It's beautiful!

Just got your message as I was checking out your blog. Boy you do pamper your farrier, mine is lucky if he I get the mud off the horses feet and out of the puddles before he comes. This year that in its self has been a challenge.
Love the play house you have for the kids. I would love to have one for my grandkids when they come down. But I guess they will have to use the barn if the minis will let them.
