Cats, horses and other tidbits

Mr. Noodles is great with the grand kids. He will do just about anything that they want him to. Today he was riding around in the baby stroller with Miss T driving. Munchie will hear non of it. She just hides or goes outside. This morning T and D's cat Kitty came over for a visit and to eat some wet food. She likes to come over here, come int hrough the cat door, pig out and then goes back home. She's a nice grand kitty but won't let me pick her up here. She spits and hisses and puffs herself right up. At their house she is fine with me and will sit in my lap happy as can be. Go figure!

Taylor's riding instructor has been coming here since school started and we love it. They were riding together which Miss T thought was great. Lisa was riding Nick who really needs a tune up. He hasn't done much of anything but stand around looking handsome for about three years so we decided it was time for some work.

As you can see his ears were forward and he seemed to be enjoying himself until she would ask him to do something he didn't want to do like canter and then he was a bit naughty and bucked a little.

I love this head shot. Isn't he a handsome boy!?! I even like the way the wind is blowing his mane all over the place. I think I will print this one off.

His mane goes half on one side and half on the other.

I think next summer we will get him back into some shows, it will be good for him and a little more structure is what he needs. Miss T will grow into him at some point and I want him going good for her. In his former home he was on the jumping circuit but we haven't gotten that far yet.

Happy Birthday to my dear friend Needled Mom! It's her birthday today but she is traveling with her Hubby so will get my best wishes when they get home. Also yesterday was Pea's birthday and what a party she had for all of us!!! Go on over to her site and see us all in our fairy costumes, it's a howl!! Thanks for all of the fun Miss Pea!!!! She's also got several nice give aways posted. The winner of her Halloween give away was none other then Needled Mom! Congratulations my friend!! (Maybe if I sulk long enough she will share it with me!)

We are leaving Friday on vacation with our kids and grand kids plus DIL's family. We very often travel together and just have a blast! This time we are all staying at the same resort with our condos being next door to one another. This will make it nice for the kids so that they can run back and forth to play. We are going to the Hoop-de-doo on Sunday night so I will have some interesting pictures to post when I get home. We have been to that show many times and never tire of it. The food is good and the show is funny so we always have a great time.

I'm almost packed, just have a few things to put in at the last minute. Going again so soon after Dallas has it's advantages. I washed all of the summer clothes and put them right back in the suitcase so they would be ready for this trip.

Mom's birthday is tomorrow. She will be 85 years young. We won't be partying until we get back from vacation but you can bet she will have lots of cards and greetings all day tomorrow. She is doing great after her knee replacement a year ago. It doesn't seem possible it has been a whole year but she went in for her year check up last week. It was extremely hard going through it at the time but the results have made it more then worthwhile! Happy Birthday Mom!!! xoxoxoxox

I have two cats that are like Noodles. They enjoy being played with and handled. And three cats that hide whenever my granddaughters are around. Or anyone else, for that matter.

Nick is a handsome boy for sure. Love the shot with his mane blowing all over. And Miss T is too cute!

Happy birthday to your Mom!

Enjoy your vacation, and take lots of pictures. But I don't really have to tell you that, do I? LOL.

Hugs,

Renie xoxo

The cat in the doll buggy reminds me of when I was small. My sister and I used to dress up our puppy and push him like that...until he decided enough was enough and wouldn't let us touch him. LOL

Oh, that photo of Nick is gorgeous. What beauty we are blessed with in the creatures that live on this Earth.

Wishing you a great day.
Blessings,
Mary

A gorgeous horse. The cat is cute too. Both of my girls have cats. Paige also has two dogs. He cats stay hidden most of the time when we visit. Gretchen's cats take a day or so to get used to us and then they come out. They such odd little things. They are both very snooty, I think. They seem to like Jim better than me. That's fine with me as I have allergies to cat dander. Give me a dog any day. Except, maybe, Paige's Great Dane. He is a nice dog, but sooo big.

Have fun at Disney. We have been to the Hoop Di Doo twice and just loved it. What fun. And you are right, the food is good.

Happy Birthday to your Mom. Doesn't seem possible it's been a year since her surgery. Glad to hear she is doing well.

Waaaaaaaaaa, I was so sorry to have missed your call but you made me smile with the message you left:-) I was outside most of the day and didn't hear your message until after dinner.

I used to have a big gray tom cat named Snagglepuss when I was growing up and I could do anything with him, dress him up, etc, just like your Mr. Noodles. He was such a laid back cat:-)

Your horses are so beautiful and I'm sure it won't take long for Nick to start enjoying doing things again. After all, he can't just stand there looking handsome for ever! hehe

Happy Birthday to your darling mom, I'm so glad to hear that she's been doing so much better!! Have a safe but fun trip and can't wait to hear all about it and see pictures. Just not fair that you'll be having fun without me though...hehe! Love you tons! xoxoxoxo

Thanks for the card and birthday greetings, my dear friend and a very happy belated birthday to your mom. I know that you will all celebrate it in a big way when you return.

I hope that your weather will be more agreeable for you than when we were there for their record high temps a few weeks back.

I love the pictures of the boys. Yes, you definitely need to get some prints made of them. T will soon be grown into Nick at the rate she seems to be growing. I suppose they are back at the stables now as I believe you said you would board them before you left.

We had a great trip, arriving in LA late last night. Of course we were both up at 2 a.m., but that is to be expected.

We added a new baby girl to the family on the 11th and were going to try to go visit today, but may give them a few days. Our DIL's mother is there right now.

I have missed catching up on blogging and look forward to doing it in these wee hours when there is not much else I can do. ;)

Looking forward to seeing your pictures and hearing about your trip. Hugs!!
