The boardwalk goes on and on. We took a long walk on that one day and went into town.
I told Hubby to wait until a big wave covered me up! :o)
This is a part of the pool area. You can rent these round things to lay on at the pool. We didn't and no one else did that we could see. Everything cost so much there, two hot turkey sandwiches and two glasses of Pepsi cost almost $70.00!!! Yikes! We didn't do that again!!
This spot in the ocean is Hubby.
This is one of the wings at the Fountainbleu Hotel, we were on the ninth floor.
One night they took us to a restaurant in downtown Miami Beach. It belongs to Gloria Estafen and her husband Emilio. It was lots of fun and they had Lucy and Desi waiting there to greet us. All the men were supposed to wear these goofy hats, they said we made a good Fred and Ethel!
I really liked the Cuban food which surprised me as I am kind of a meat and potatoes type gal. The restaurant had a nice band there for us and the tables were decorated really nice.
They taught everyone (that wanted to participate) how to do the salsa and it was a hoot. Having two left feet Hubby and I sat that one out! There was a man there rolling Cu*ban cigars which was interesting. Some of the men smoked them, again we sat that one out too. :o)
Guess that's enough for this time. I have more to show you but don't want this to get so long that your eyes glaze over. We consider ourselves very blessed to be able to visit all the different places that business takes us. It's fun to see new places and try new foods, learning about different cultures. It's always good to get home though and sleep in ones own bed. :o) Continued next time......
