Horses, horses and more horses.

Another weekend, another trip to the coast.  It was a beautiful day, a bit humid here but nice on the coast.  We met up with 12 other members of the family on the Hubs side and had a wonderful time at The Jordan Pond House eating lobster stew and popovers.  FIL went with us and we gabbed all the way down and back.  I forgot my camera which was a bummer but it’s the first time all summer so guess I can’t complain.  :o)

Have been riding about every day except when it’s too hot or raining.  Scooter is such a sweetheart and learning more every ride how to be a western pleasure horse although he does try to herd Kipper once in a while.  Kip is about the size of the cows he used to herd.  :o)

I hope you all are having a wonderful weekend.  Tomorrow after church we are headed for the lake.  I bought some plants on the way home from the coast today and want to get them into my lake garden.  Summer is fast fleeting so we are trying to enjoy every single minute of it!  :o)

The horses are magnificent animals! We used to have horses all the time when I was a kid! I rode all the time, but there's NO WAY I'd ride now! I guess I'm scared now~! LOL

You asked how long had it been since I had ridden.

I haven't been on a horse since I was about 17. So a very long time!

Your horses are so gorgeous and obviously well taken care of:-) If only all animals had loving owners like you and your family, how wonderful it would be!! I always enjoy seeing pictures of them and of the kids riding them. When we were at the Erie County Fair on Sunday, I thought of you when I was cuddling up with one of the horses:-) I couldn't believe the height of some of them, wow!!

D looked so cute picking out his new boots and helmet. I could see cowboy hats on the wall in the background, that's something I often think of buying myself but then wonder where I'd ever wear one! lol

I so love Coneflowers and Black Eyed Susans. Yours are beautiful! I need to plant more of them next year, maybe in my faerie garden:-)

There is a tornado warning for this area so I've been watching the skies as it darkens. Let's hope it's just a bad storm and nothing more dire!! Must go put away my patio table umbrellas before the winds get any stronger. Love you to bits!! xoxox

Firstly, the last photo...terrific. The smiles are contagious. And then secondly, horses....I love 'em. They're such a sturdy, strong and most beautiful creature!!! The tractor photo is too cute for words.

Oh and the flowers...wow, gorgeous. The Cleome...we used to call them spider plants - dunno why. My father always had them in his yard in later years before he passed away.

Good news and some MORE good news is my Friday post. Hope your weekend goes smoothly!!!

We absolutely must get to that restaurant when we're out there sometime. What town is it in??

I'm way behind AGAIN - I finally got a new post up. I'm having a hard time concentrating on writing for some reason.

The flowers are wonderful - I don't know why we haven't planted any cone flowers. Do they need full sun?

Are you battening down the hatches??

Your home is the perfect bed and breakfast. I know your grandkids love it. :) Nice to see them learning to ride those beautiful horses.
