These days we like to go shopping and going out to lunch with an emphasis on lunch. We went shopping last week and hit the jakepot at Dress Barn for her. They have a good petite department which fits her well. Now you all know by seeing pictures of me that I don't shop in the petite department........ahem.........we won't even go there.....
My Mom has lost most of her eyesight due to macular degeneration. She does well though and does most all of her housework herself and cooks when Dad isn't treating her to some yummy takeout. There are lots of things that she used to love to do but can't now due to her lack of eyesight. One thing I miss too is that she always got my groceries for me each week. I would make a list and off she would go in the car to the grocery store. What a luxury having someone do the weekly shopping!
Now she likes to fold my clothes for me and that's a huge luxury too!! Sometimes I walk into their apartment and she is in her chair and I dump the big basket of warm from the dryer clothes right on her! We have a weird sense of humor around here......heehee!
I could go on and on but I don't want her to get all snuffly as Dad reads this to her. I will just say that I am blessed to have her as a mother and she's a keeper! I love you Mom! xoxoxox

What a sweet tribute to your Mom and yes, how blessed you are to still have her. My mother lives with us the last years of her life, in a separate apartment attached to our home. What a joy.
What a loving tribute to your mom. May you and your mom have a wonderful Mother's Day. Hugs!
What a blessing to have her right there with you, that is awesome! I wish all households could live like that! Happy Mothers Day to both of you! :D
Happy Mother's Day to you too MM!!!
And BIG hugs to you and your Momma from our little corner of the world!!
what sweet words for your Mom..and I am sure she deserves them all...as you do also!!! I had to laugh when you mentioned the basket of warm clothes dumped on Mom..I would do the same thing when Mom would visit with us...wash towels...and lay them on her...how she would snuggle LOL...and oh my..when blankets or comforters came out of dryer..she just melted into a puddle of sweet butter LOLOL...Mom...the love of our hearts...I am so glad you still have Mom with you...it is a blessing for sure...and if my Mom was still here...she would be 110 years old...wouldn't that be a hoot??? God Bless...hugs from Ora in KY
Love your tribute. My mom used to do my ironing when she visited. My mom was legally blind, but managed to live alone until her death 14 years ago. She was a treat.
Give her a Mother's Day hug for me. And one for you too. Have a wonderful Mother's Day.
~hippo hugs~
We are blessed to still have our moms, that's for sure. Your mom sounds like a wonderful woman. Did she ever get the cd? I'm really puzzled about that and would like to send her another one - Did you get my e-mail?
Sounds like you have one sweet mom and so lucky to have her close by!
so sweet! what a nice tribute!!! She looks awesome!
Hopefully your mothers day was as wonderful as you are:)
What a sweet tribute to your mom.
I wish that my mom lived closer so that we could do more than just talk on the phone.
She is suppose to be coming here at the end of May. I am working hard to get the guest room fixed just right for her.
I hope that you had a happy mother's day. I did.
You're lucky to have such a great mom. There are those of us out there who have not but I feel fortunate to have been able to appreciate and learn from the good mothers out there as an example for something I never learned at home. Thanks for sharing your mom with me.
You must be having another very busy week!
Awww, you are truly blessed to have such a sweet Mom!
Happy belated mothers day to you..
What a loving tribute to your mom.
