Swingsets, swimming and sunshine!

My two little grand kids are here with me this morning keeping the place hopping. Noodles has been a constant companion playing with them but now he's had enough so has gone outside for parts unknown. The surprise of the day was the new swing set and they have already put it to good use. I even had a turn!

The horses didn't quite know what to think about it and kept looking and looking! Buddy kept his eye right on them!

Skipper, who btw had just rolled in the mud, was quite intrigued.

Nick really was interested but stayed close to the barn.

Then he decided to give Skip a run for his money! Skip put the boots right to him!

Finally everyone settled down and got back to the business of grazing. These pictures are rather dark but it's very dark and overcast today, not a great day to take pictures.

I have some annuals that decided to come again this year and not in the place they were planted, but in the veggie garden! They are cleome, purple, pink and white.

Saturday was DIL's Mom's birthday so we all went out to their place on the lake and had a wonderful time. The weather was perfect and the kids had the best time riding on the tube behind Bampie's little boat. D loves it!
Of course the bigger kids have to do some more challenging things while going along on the tube! Look at those smiles!!!

Cousin K is really good at it!

There was a beautiful loon just puttering around seemingly oblivious to all the commotion.

How blessed we are to have such lovely lakes to enjoy and have family times! :o)

I have recently found your lovely blog! Your pics of the grandkids tubing reminds of our not so distant past with our own kids, and sometimes even ME on the tube! We used to go camping and boating at lakes quite often. I enjoyed the horse and flower photographs as well. We are thinking of getting a couple of horses one of these days. We already live on a small farm in Ohio.

Swings, summer, sun and sparkling lakes! What a delightful post.
Everyone seems to be having such a wonderful time including your horses frolicking in the pasture.
All those happy things just say "summer" don't they!
Glad you're having such fun and sharing it with all of us too!
love you!

That's it...I'm comin' over, you're just having way too much fun without me!! hehe You're making me so wish that my family lived nearer to me. I'm really missing out on all the family fun...poor, pitiful me. Feel sorry for me now?? lol I love seeing how much fun you have with your grandkids...look at them in that tube! I would try that once and break my neck! lol

Such gorgeous horses you have, one can tell they're well taken care of. Isn't it funny how curious they were when they saw the kids on the swing!! Precious!

Your Cleone are just beautiful and you must have been surprised to see them growing in your veggie garden! lol I have sunflowers growing all over in my veggie garden, thanks to Mr. Chippy! He hides the sunflower seeds in the ground during the winter months and in the summer I have sunflowers popping up all over the place!

Love you lots!! xoxox

Yes and that water looks so cool. It was 100f here today, and humid. I'd like to fish then swim in the lake.
Looks like it was wonderful, from looking at the kids faces.I'm glad you all had fun.
Take care and God bless.

Susie says it all - swings, summer, sun and sparkling lakes! What fun! You know, the lack of sun in the horse photos actually makes the different greens all the more beautiful!

And why don't we have a photo of you on the swing? I feel this is a necessity!

We put our boat in at Lake Delavan and haven't really been out there. There just seems so much to get done around here. The kids are cute! The horses are funny! Mine were barreling around late last night. I could hear their hooves!

It looks like everyone is having such a great time. There is nothing like a swing for fun times.

The lakes look so inviting. Is the water warm at this time of the year?

I planted cleone for the first time this year. They were really pretty in the flower beds and they got soooo big!!!

Have a good week. Hugs. xoxo

Hi,

Me again. Thanks for your sweet comments on my blog. How wonderful that you have both of your parents with you! God bless them. I aspire to live long enough to earn the description of spry. It is one of my goals. Your dad still mows the lawn?!!! At least now I know that you will be my competition when it comes to Olympic moseying.

You asked about my camera. Most of the time I use a Cannon PowerShot SD 630, Digital Elph. The camera has a longer name than the Prince of Wales! Sometimes I use my husband's camera which is one of those big black ones with too many functions. It is a Cannon EOS something, something. I don't know what it is but it takes some serious pictures. I am glad you liked my other pictures.

Thanks again for dropping by and I look forward to reading your blogs!

I think that top photo of the two grands on the swings is my favorite. The looks on their faces radiate pure joy! That's how I want to live my life!

Wow- this was wonderful! The pictures- all of them- were so good, from the children swinging, the horses watching them (and then running) to the water fun and flowers!

I SO wish my family and I didn't live clear across the country, because then I'd just have to invite ourselves over for a day- it looks so much fun! :D
Have a great rest of the week!

YOu are indeed blessed to have such lovely places to go nearby with the grands. And I want to know how you did those lovely shapes with the pictures! Absolutely wonderful.

Oh, those swings look like such fun! Know the little ones enjoyed them! And the horses! They really were curious! That's funny that they noticed the swinging going on! Smart, aren't they? They look so healthy! That reflects on their loving owner! :)

The lake tubing brings back childhood days to me. Oh, the fun of being a child, huh?

I am trying to catch up a little tonight. Working like crazy as the dealine is nearing all too fast for me!!!! Will try and get the pie dish out soon. I have to drive quite a ways to get to UPS, so it won't be until I get my work caught up here. I'll be pulling a couple all-niters for a few nights here!

I hope that all the knee replacements go smoothly. I am sure that is a painful surgery and will take some physical therapy for recovery. I love your photo tricks!

Summer looks wonderful there in Maine, just looking at these lovely photos, but sounds like you've had some interesting weather! This has been the summer of thunderstorms for us. In fact, we're having yet another one right now. After lightning struck close by during a huge storm on the weekend, we had to have new wiring done on the pole outside. After the work was done my computer wouldn't boot up (it was fine beforehand). Major frustration! Hubby is very generously sharing his computer with me.
I hope you're getting enough rain lately. I love your volunteer Cleome.
Those grandchildren are just so cute, and what fun they'e having! :)
