Back to the real world.

Now that we've been back home from the sunny south for a week or so it seems like a distant memory. The temps have been fairly cold except for Sunday and they were a balmy 40*! :o) I didn't even wear my winter coat to church, I wore my spring/summer coat and was plenty warm.

We were out snowmobiling all day Saturday. T got a machine of her own to drive so she was one happy camper!

Here she is out with Daddy learning the different things that she needs to know to ride safely. Her machine looks as big as Daddy's but it has a MUCH smaller motor and is lighter so can be driven by youngsters (with supervision, of course!) She goes with Daddy in front and Mom behind her. She did very well and loved every minute of it on our ride. We went very slow which is fine with me as I don't like to go fast.

Before we left the house a little sparrow hit the window so I went out to investigate and there he was sitting on the deck obviously stunned. I picked him up before the cats caught sight of him and put him on T's finger to perch until he got his bearings back.

After a few minutes he flew off no worse the wear. Yeah! I love it when they are okay. Sometimes they do themselves in hitting the glass and I feel so badly about it! :o( T was thrilled that he would sit on her finger and that she could get a good look at him.

It was beautiful out on the trails Saturday. We haven't had any new snow for over a week and a half but the riding was still good. I let Cousin K drive mine so that I could take some pictures as we went along.

Of course we had to stop at Dunkin Donuts for hot chocolate and the kids had hash browns and a donut. Mrs. Mom, cover your eyes!!!!

I love this picture of Cousin K helping T with her helmet! They all have such a good time together.

With anything mechanical there is always a problem or two but thankfully this one didn't hold us up long.

The painters are here so my house is all torn up. Well the kitchen, dining area, dining room and hallway. I had paper on the dining room walls and I have never liked it since the day it was put on. Have you ever done that? This was 4 or 5 years ago so I think I stuck it out pretty well. They have all the old paper taken off, have filled in all the holes from nails that I used to put up pictures and are now working on the ceilings. It'll be a mess here for about a week but then I will show you the finished results.
