It's Monday again, the time just goes so fast, sometimes I wish it would slow down a bit but then maybe I would be bored and I don't want that. I can't say that I have ever been bored in my life, just too many things to do and see for that. Maybe a dry sermon on occasion but that too is rare.
Yesterday certainly wasn't one of the dry sermon days. The sermon was wonderful, the music was just perfect, it was just a glorious Easter Sunday. When we sang the song, 'up from the grave He arose!' I just had goosebumps on my arms. The church was full and the singing was enthusiastic. I had to usher. Now, I'm getting used to this duty but it still has it's moments of 'oh, now what do I do?' We had extra ushers on due to the large crowd so Husband and I were paired up on the left side of the church and I got the offering plates going in the wrong isle a couple of times but Husband covered for me. I knew something was wrong when I was standing there without any plate and he had two. lol! Anyway we got the job done without too much of a fiasco.
We had a lovely lunch at our favorite restaurant The Muddy Rudder with 13 members of our family. They had buffet and you could order off the menu too if you wanted which I did. I want to be waited on when I go out to eat, I don't want to have to go get my own my own food. Afterwards we went to my son and daughter in laws home for the Easter egg hunt with the grand kids and that is always fun. They had gotten out of their Easter finery and into their comfortable clothes so I didn't get a picture of them dressed up but that's okay. I brought over the Easter baskets and they had fun looking for all the goodies and fun things that I had tucked in. One of their favorites were some foolish fake glasses.
I think they take after Husband's side of the family, don't you?

hehehehehehe....cute! nice photos!
did you have an easter egg hunt in the snow????
Loved the line about ushering...every time I watch them pass the offering plates, I wonder how they keep from getting confused!
Great photo with the kids...too cute! sounds like you had a great day!!!
I'm glad to hear you had a wonderful Easter...the photos are lovely. We too had a family brunch at a restaurant near my in-laws although our nephews are in their 20's so no more Easter egg hunts...darn.
Yes, I agree the service was a very good one! The sunrise service was fun as well. Up From the Grave He Arose is one of my favorite hymns - it's so fun to sing!
I'm glad there was a good sized crowd at the Muddy Rudder - it was just me, mom, step-dad and Brother for lunch, but the lasagna was awesome. After that I took a nap!
good musings!
great photo of the kids too :)
